Science: Light and Shadows! We have been a busy bunch! So far this term we have been investigating light and shadows. We drew around shadows every hour to see how they moved and made shadow puppets! Have a look in the gallery to see what we've been up to!
Congratualations to Lucy Crouch to being runner up in the East Sussex County Council "Breathing places" poetry competition. She went to Lewes library on Tuesday April 1st to receive her prize in a presentation with the winner and runner up in the other categories. Lucy's poem can be read from the link below: www.eastsussex.gov.uk/search/search.aspx Below is Lucy receiving her prize from Councillor Tidy.
This term our theme has been recycling. We are nearly at the end of our project and the time has come for some photos! In groups we made sculptures using recycled objects from around the home including cardboard tubes, boxes and plastic containers.
Have a look in the gallery to see the final product, i'm sure you'll be impressed! Bayeaux TapestryFinally years 4 and 5 achieved some well earned recognition for their hard work on the Bayeaux Tapestry. In October 2007 the whole class went to Battle Memorial Halls to watch the Mayor of Battle Ron Harris unviel the 12ft long tapestry. Special thanks to Jane Smith at the Battle Memorial Halls for accomodating us, and to Margaret Emeleus at Beautiful Battle for putting me in touch with the right people.
Want to see more photos of our Bayeaux Tapestry? - head for the school gallery! |
